Equality or Superiority

Equality or Superiority

It’s not about women’s right, it about human’s right.

I am sure all of you have heard tons of debate on women’s right, equality, feminism and so many things. But what I want to talk about is not women’s rights but actually how these rights have been confused with our right/wrong deeds. Over the time, with the emergence of social media I have realized that most of our influencers are not striving to educate women about their rights but they are actually imposing a belief in them that everything they do is right just because they are women and they are free to do whatever they want.

Since past few years I have heard of so many cases where women have tried to dominate men in the name of their freedom and rights. Be it the case of Zomato’s delivery boy or Amity university Noida incident or Jasleen Kaur’s Harassment case. The laws made for protection of women in our country have been misused time and again. Many have started claiming that women are superior to men and these radical thoughts leads to gender clashes. In the race of women empowerment, many among us forgot that what we is want equality not revenge.

I know that in our society women have been suppressed since ages, but things are changing now.  There are people who want to educate their daughters, who let their wives work and fulfil her dreams. And it doesn’t mean that only the women going outside to work are independent and deserve all the respect, some women want to be housewives, and that’s perfectly fine as quoted by one of our so called feminist It’s her choice. Our aim has to be eliminating the gender based stereotypes that are being followed since ages and not degrading the existence of all men in our lives.

Today our social media influencers are busy in promoting superiority rather than equality. But please don't fall into their trap. Think wisely, first know your rights and act accordingly. Half knowledge is more dangerous than ignorance, and misuse of that knowledge is even worse. Not every man out there is a rapist, or a stalker, or staring at every women out there. There are nice people too, voice out against the exploitation but not for damaging someone's reputation or for the sake of pulling out your own frustration.
